Lumina

The Art of Extraction

Two decades of meticulous sourcing and roasting, devoted to creating a cup that transcends the morning routine and becomes an extraordinary ritual.

Our Philosophy

A legacy written in
roasted beans

"Coffee is not merely a beverage -- it is a philosophy of connection, a celebration of the patience required to turn soil and altitude into something eternal."

Founded in 1998 by Mateo Lumina in the lush highlands surrounding Bogotá, Lumina Roasters has remained a family pursuit for a quarter-century. We tend to relationships with smallholder farmers across three continents, practicing sustainable agriculture and hand-roasting every small batch.

Our Heritage

25 years mastering the drum

Our roastery sits exactly 2,640 meters above sea level. Here, in the thin Andean air, green beans undergo a slower, more deliberate Maillard reaction inside our vintage cast-iron roasters, unlocking profiles hidden to lower altitudes.
